Comedy Film Festival

Pheonix Comedy Film Festival will present awards in eight different categories which are: The Best Movie, The Best Actor in a Leading Role, The Best Actress in a Leading Role, The Best Screenplay, The Best Directing, The Best Editing, Special Jury Award. There will also be a People’s Choice award presented for The Best Movie.

1: Mohammad Mahdi Dodge

Mohammad Mahdi Dadgoo has a bachelor’s degree in commercial management and  system analysis from Iran. His activities include general manager of control of budget for radio and television 1352-1355 (1973-1376), financial manager for channel 2 of television 1355-1357 (1976-1977) and manager of quality control for television programs 1359-1361 (1980-1982). He is the producer of many important projects, including, “Nasereddin Shah Actor Cinema” directed by Mohsen Makhmalbaf and “Kolah Ghermezi va Pesar Khaleh”.

 

2: Mehdi Karampur

Mehdi Karampour started his professional career by making short movies and short documentaries including  “Aroosake Kooki”(Clockwork Toy), “Davat”(Invitation), and “Rooye Jaddeye Namnak”(On The Moist Road). He started making long movies since 1381(2002). Mehdi Karampour not only directs movies, but alsk is active in many different affairs in cinema world. He is a member in Iranian Cinema Juries Academy, and was previously a member of Iranian Cinema Directors Club, CEO of Namayesh Khaneye Cinema Union, a member of Iranian Cinema Directors Union and a board advisor in Khaneye Cinema.

 

3: Hosein Moazzezi Nia

Hoosien Moazzezi Nia, is a film critic, professor, cinematic writer and author, and a documentary producer in Iran.  He worked in cinema and media at the same time and was one of the cinema editors in magazines such as Sooroosh, Naghde Cinema, Mashregh, and Mehr. He is the author of many books including “Darbareye Ebrahim Hatamai Kia”(About Ebrahim Hatamai Kia), “Filmfarsi Chist”(What is Filmfarsi), and “Cinema va Ofogh Haye Ayandeh”(Cinema and The Future‌ Horizons) and has also directed many documentary television series including “Cinemaye Dini”(Religious Cinema), “Sang Kaghaz Gheichi”(Stone, Paper Scissors), “Ravayat E Ravi”(Storyteller’s Tale), amd “Alame Hichkak”(Hitchcock’s World).
